Edith Merry Marsh

Miss Edith Merry Marsh, age 99 years, of Thunder Bay, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2015 at Bethammi Nursing Home.

She was born to the late Edward and Edith Marsh on June 15th 1915 at Port Arthur General. Edith worked at the Chronicle Journal for 27 years where she was responsible for creating advertisements in the classifieds.

She enjoyed skiing, cooking, and baking. While Edith’s mother was in her later years, Edith cared for her until she passed away. One of Edith’s traditions was to visit Duluth during the last week of July with her friends.

Remembered by all as a kind and thoughtful individual, Edith is survived by her three brothers; Melbourne, Warner, Eddie, as well as her many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Bethammi for their loving care of Edith. 

As per Edith’s request, a private burial will be held in St. Andrew’s Cemetery on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:30 am. 

Arrangements are in care of the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street, at Algoma.
