With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, Edna Nora Blair. Mom died peacefully in her sleep at Hogarth Riverview Manor with family by her side.

Mom worked at the Port Arthur General Hospital, A&W as a car hop, and 30 years at Lakehead University as a custodian. She was the 4th born of 11 children.

Mom was a homebody but enjoyed traveling with family and her friend Eileen. In younger years she loved gardening, growing vegetables for her large family. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Maple Leafs.

She is survived by her children Sharon (Andy), Doris (Sandy), Jackie, Cecil (Giselle), Heather (Brian) and daughter-in-law Trudy, sister Vivian (Don), 15 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.

Mom was predeceased by her husband John (Jack), her son Gordon, and grandson Jim, her parents, in-laws, and 9 siblings.

Our family would like to thank the staff on 7 North, Hogarth Riverview Manor for their exceptional care and compassion.
