Mr. Edward Brown, age 99 years, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, April 30, 2017 with his family by his side.

Edward was born in Leader, Saskatchewan on November 10, 1917. He was a cook in the Army in England and cooked in Hacquoils Bushcamp and Churchcamp. He worked for many years at the Elevators as a Grain Handler. Edward then worked at Grandview Lodge as a caretaker until retirement. He was an active member of St. Mark's Anglican Church in Rosslyn Village.

Edward is survived by his children: Linda (Frank), Susan (Alan), Malcolm and David (Susan); 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with another 1 on the way. He also leaves behind his siblings Alex, Robert and Lillian as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gladys (nee Stanley); his parents, George and Eva Brown; 5 brothers and 4 sisters and great-grandson Bradley.

Cremation has taken place. Funeral services for Mr. Edward Brown will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 1:00pm at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Rosslyn Village. A private interment will take place in St. James Cemetery at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Edward to St. Mark's Church or Kakabeka Legion Branch 225 would be greatly appreciated.
