Edward O'Brien
It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Edward Francis O’Brien.  Ed died peacefully at home with his children by his side.

“I was born April 17, 1940 into a wonderful life. I attended the initial year of teacher’s training in Thunder Bay and practised for thirty-nine years as teacher and principal in the Thunder Bay Catholic School System. I am profoundly grateful to have been born into a prosperous land at peace throughout most of my lifetime, to have been raised by loving parents whose devotion to my upbringing I truly appreciated only after they were gone and to a profession that allowed me to earn a comfortable living doing what brought me deep satisfaction. I am thankful for the opportunity to have acquired an education that enhanced my life, for the friends who accompanied me on this great adventure and for my children and grandchildren, the monuments to my existence, of whom I am immensely proud. My day is done, but I am content to live on in the memories of those who loved me. I am a fortunate fellow indeed."

Mr. O’Brien leaves a daughter Kathleen, son Francis (Stephanie), granddaughter Sloane, grandson Myles and siblings: David (June), Patrick (Lynda) and Rosemarie (Norman Brown). He was predeceased by parents Francis and Beatrice O’Brien and a brother Michael. Cremation has taken place and private interment will be at a later date. In accordance with the deceased’s wishes, there will be no further service of any kind.
