The family of Eileen Duguid is saddened to announce her passing on Friday, March 26, 2021 at her residence at The Walford Retirement Home due to complications of COVID-19.

Eileen was born on August 5, 1926 in Fort William Ontario to Charles and Margaret Boyle. In her early years she worked at the CNR Ore Docks and then took time off to raise her children. She returned to work at Walter Brown Jewellers once her son and daughter were older. She was an active volunteer in various groups within St Andrews Presbyterian Church as well as volunteering in the church office.

She is survived by her son Gary, her daughter Charlene Greaves (Blair), her precious grandchildren Keira (Stefan), Jason (Jen), and Ahron, and her daughter in law Deborah Duguid. Step Granddaughter Michelle Greaves and her children William and Alexa Timms, step grandson BJ Greaves and his children Alli, Hunter and Cooper.

Also survived by Sister in law Charlotte Mac Kay and brother-in-law John Duguid along with 11 nieces and 2 nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her brother Murray Boyle and sister in law Myrtle.

When Eileen's sister in law passed away, she became adopted Mother\Grandmother to the Boyle children. Both families grew closer over the years and always celebrate holidays and special functions together. Mom looked so forward to her Sunday family visits, family was everything to Mom.

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the staff at the Walford for not only caring for our Mother but for loving her like family. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Garon and Moms palliative care nurse from Bayshore Amanda. They both provided us with comfort, guidance and support through Moms last couple of days.
