The family of Eleanor Sundell sadly announce her passing on April 9, 2017. Eleanor was born on March 18, 1935 and lived most of her 82 years in the Lakehead.
She married Lorne Sundell in 1955 and together they had four children. Eleanor had a long career at CIBC, until her retirement in 2000.
Eleanor is survived by her children Kathy (Paul), Ken (Karyn), Karen (Chris), and Kelly (Judy), as well as grandchildren Katelyn, Hayley, Ian, Heather, Matthew, Faith and Christopher. Also surviving is her brother and his wife John and Lee Fidler, their children Mark and Jennifer, sisters-in-law Norma Sundell and Carol Bobyk as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family in England.
Eleanor was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lorne, in 2006, her parents Joe and Marguerite Fidler and sister Edith Hunter.
Cremation has taken place and as per Eleanor’s wishes, there will be no service. Family and friends are invited to join us for a gathering in her memory at her home on Thursday, April 13, 2017 between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of choice.
