In 1958 she married Campbell Gillies and shared a great life with him travelling, camping and time spent with family until his passing in 2006. Ellie continued to the end missing Cam every day but spent her time happily with her sisters and their families and in her home in Westfort.

She was educated in Fort William and worked her entire career at Fort William Clinic where she was a highly regarded employee until her retirement.

She was a life long parishioner of St. Agnes Church as well as a member of the Catholic Women’s League.

Ellie will be dearly missed by her three sisters, nieces and nephews, Ross Garnett, Richard Garnett (deceased), Joe DePiero, Penny (Greg) Stirrett, Donna (Rod) Peltonen and their children, Lucas, Russell, Leslie, Jennie and their families as well as the Gillies Family and numerous other relatives and friends.
