Mrs. Elena Pupo, age 100 years and 10 months, longtime resident of Crown Street, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Grandview Lodge on Friday, April 3, 2015.

Born in Serra San Bruno, Italy, she came to Canada in 1953 with her husband Ricordo.

Elena was born a simple woman who loved her family and working in her garden. She was a religious woman and was a life time member of St. Anthony's R.C. Church. She is survived by her children Josephine DeVuono , son Bruno, Lina Grassia (Emilio) and Antoinetta Kurcinka (Jim) and son-in-law Giovanni Nerino, grandchildren; Mario Devuono (Sarah), Menina (Dominica) Migliazza, Gino Nerino (Patricia), Michael Nerino, Lisa Nerino (Nick Tropea), Paul Grassia (Joanne), Laura and Jessica Grassia (David Azzolini), Collen and Lauren Kurcinka, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Predeceased by her husband Ricordo, daughter Immacolata Nerino and son-in-law Carmine DeVuono.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 when family and friends will gather at St. Anthony's R.C. Church for Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini.

Visitation for family and friends will be held in the church on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 o'clock.

A private interment will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery on Wednesday, April 8th.

All services will be complete in the church with a reception to follow in the Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 North Court Street.
