It is with great sadness that the family of Elfriede Gradner announce her peaceful passing on March 24, 2022.
Elfriede was born in Danzig, Germany on October 16, 1925. She was married to Heinz Gradner on October 15, 1949. They immigrated to Fort William with their two sons in 1956 and started a new life.
She is survived by sons Wolfgang (Donna) and Heinz (Janet); grandchildren Derek (Andrea Lajoie), Leanna O’Keefe (Frank), Ian (Rachel), Krista (Shawn Ceceri) and Kevin (Katherine); great grandchildren Hunter and Faith Gradner, Ava and Lauren O’Keefe and Sophia and Savvy Gradner.
She was predeceased by her husband Heinz Gradner Sr in March 1991.
As per mom’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held to celebrate her life. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Pioneer Ridge Plaza 2 for the care they provided during her stay there.
