Elizabeth Brandl

Elizabeth my precious love, the love of my life, has passed on to be in the hands of the Lord after a brief illness. Our love for each other grew more intensely as we comforted each other with our faith. We spent many intimate moments together at "Heavens Heart Beat" our home away from home, enveloped in tranquility. Elizabeth's heart was filled with kindness which was contagious and was recognized by many. She never complained, sunshine was always in her heart. During her career as an RNA, her compassion for taking care of the elderly was second to none. She catered to me with unconditional love, when I upset her she was quick to forgive me with a wonderful smile and warmth, hugging me with compassion and giving me a sweet kiss. She will be in my heart always, during the day and in my dreams. She had many wild critter friends that took to her. When we lost our cats Mooch and Snowball it devastated her. Liz loved to cook and bake and please others with her superb meals, cookies and cakes. A warm Aufwiedersehen until we meet again my sweetheart, for eternity.

There are no words to describe how much mom meant to me. Love, kindness, forgiving, and warmth are just a few ways mom was a diamond in the rough. Sometimes, one may have thought who was the apple of her eye? Dad or me. You will always be engraved in my heart.

We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their kindness and efforts to comfort her.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her father Royden Ostrom, mother Evelyn Ostrom, mother and father in law Anne and John Brandl, sisters Susan (Clifford) Johnson, Marlene (Andy) Kucseba. Elizabeth was survived by husband Gerd Brandl, son Kurtis (Kirstie), brothers Terry (Mary), Gary (Elaine), nieces/nephews and our dear friend Bobby Ward.

Her family will be having a private gathering; no funeral will take place. Cremation will take place and her ashes will be spread at Heavens Heartbeat. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Thunder Bay & District Humane Society or any charity of choice would be appreciated.
