Mr. Elvin Wellington “Al” Sarty, age 82 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan 5, 2011 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after a brief illness.
Al was a longtime business owner in Thunder Bay. He spent many years on Lake Superior boating and fishing.
Al is survived by his sons Stephen (Tina Nichols) of Lively, Ontario and Bryan (Nora Tolentino) of Guelph, Ontario; daughter Roberta of Winnipeg, Manitoba and other relatives here and in Nova Scotia. He was predeceased by his cherished wife Lois (1980).
A private funeral service was held in the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with long time friend Rev. Ed Long officiating. Interment was held in Riverside Cemetery.
