Emil Jubinville passed away on January 13, 2021 at Hogarth Riverview Manor. He was born March 13, 1946 in Fort William.

Emil was predeceased by his parents June and Wilf Jubinville. In his youth, he was a friendly smiling face in the Home Avenue neighbourhood. He had many extended family adventures, especially, with cousins in Nipigon. One of his fondest childhood memories was attending St. Agnes Parish events. Emil’s work experiences included the transmission shop, Tim Horton’s, and R.F.D.A. Emil relished his time at Pass Lake. He would quaff a beer or two while belting out country tunes of Don Williams, Freddy Fender and Conway Twitty. In addition to music, Emil loved hamburgers, and parties. Indubitably, his sweetie pie, Maryann, would top the list of favourites.

There are many people who cared for and befriended him. It is with utmost gratitude that we thank all of you. We begin with cousin Phyllis and family. The Community Living Staff including Marcie, Matt, Jen, Kasia and Katie were dear to him. All of them provided exceptional support, care, and friendship. We met Emil through respite workers Georges and Marguerite Ste. Marie. They included Emil in their many service to others endeavours. His Special Olympic buddies were close to his heart. His home care providers Andrèe, Robert, and Marlene provided him with a place to call home, and with love and security. We also thank the Hogarth Riverview Manor Staff for their dedication and care. Finally, I wish to thank my wife Angèle Ste. Marie for her tender and compassionate comfort during his final days.

Emil requested a mass at St. Agnes Parish, the parish of his youth and also of his senior years. He specifically asked for the choir to sing. Services to take place at a later date. Emil was a humble, gentle and kind man. We will miss you and God bless you, Emiliano.
