Emilia Synak

Mrs. Emilia Synak, age 96 years, passed away in Hogarth-Riverview Manor on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

Emilia was born on January 26, 1925 in Warsaw, Poland to Paul and Helen. She lost her parents as a teenager during the Second World War. She met her husband Joseph in Poland and following the war they relocated to Canada.

Her main interests were her family and her home. She enjoyed her years working as a nurses aide at Hogarth-Westmount Hospital and liked interacting with her coworkers.

Emilia is survived by her daughter Barb Powell; son Ed (Evelyn); grandchildren Claude (Charli), Daniel (Renee), Eric (Sarah) and Derek; numerous great grandchildren; as well as relatives in Poland.

She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her friend Adam.

Private funeral services will be held in EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum. Services can be viewed on everestofthunderbay.com beginning on Tuesday.
