Emily Skunk was born March 26th, 1964 and passed away after a long struggle with her illness, surrounded by her family and friends at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on September 21st, 2017.

Emily was a very kind and a gentle soul: she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others. She loved playing cards with friends, listening to music, liked nature and she loved feeding the birds and squirrels.  Emily had a sense of humour and loved to laugh and joke around She attended church in spite of her pain and illness that she was going through.

Emily leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her surviving common-law husband of 25 years, Hans Hallman, son Chester Skunk and three grandchildren: Chloe Trubyk, Evan Trubyk and Keira Skunk, her cherished and much-loved cat "Squeaky".  She is also survived and loved by brothers Tony Skunk, Gary Skunk, Allan Skunk, sisters Mary Hollingsworth and Margie Vincent. Emily was loved and now reunited with her mother Amelia Skunk, father Johnny Maggotte and her sister Anna Skunk. Emily will be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre,  499 North Cumberland Street, on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 12:00 Noon presided by Reverend Gordon Holroyd. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Saugeen First Nation.
