Enrichetta Assunta Di Felice

Mrs. Enrichetta Assunta Di Felice   passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Bethammi Nursing Home, St. Joseph Heritage. She was born to Giuseppe Paglia and  Laura Gentile on October 24, 1927, in Ferrazano, Campobasso. On June 22, 1952 Enrichetta  Assunta married her  soul mate Giuseppe  Di Felice in the parish church Our Lady of the Assumption in Ferrazano, Campobasso, Italy. They began their new life together as a married couple.

On August 27, 1955 together with two children Enrichetta and husband Giuseppe embarked on an adventure to Canada boarding the Queen Frederica II leaving the Port of Naples. On September 4, 1955 Enrichetta and her family docked at the Halifax harbor at Pier 21. Then another short journey by train brought them to Fort William, Ontario (Thunder Bay) where Enrichetta and her husband with their two children settled and began the start of a new life. She worked for many employers; the Lakehead Bag Company, T Kay Jean Company and Daisy Drapery. In the summer of 1969, Enrichetta opened her own business Lakehead Drapery Sewing Shop and for thirty years she committed her services to clients in the Thunder Bay Region manufacturing custom made Drapes for the home and office. 

Enrichetta is survived by her four children Carmela and Mario Bourelly, Angelo and April Di Felice, Antonio and Loretta Di Felice and Laura Di Felice, ten grandchildren Carmine Bourelly, Stefanie Bourelly, Adam Di Felice, Ashley Di Felice, Rosanne and Colin Chaschuk, Michelle Di Felice, Jessica Di Felice, Matthew Boudreau, Julie Assunta, and Richard Boudreau and four great grand children Sidney, Avery, Brooklyn, and Olivia. She is also survived by sisters Maria Melideo, Ida Pretorino,  Iolanda Di Felice and Antonietta Brassiliano; brother-in-law Guido and Sandy Di Felice, sister-in-laws Giuseppina Di Felice (Toronto), Christine Paglia and Maria Falcigno (Montreal), numerous nieces and nephews and extended family that reside in Thunder Bay, Toronto, Montreal and in Italy.

Enrichetta was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe, parents Giuseppe Paglia and Laura Gentile Paglia, by her brothers Antonio Paglia, (Montreal), Ennio Paglia, niece Claudia Paglia and sister Rosina DeSocio Paglia (Italy).

Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning leaving the Blake Funeral Chapel at 9:30am for Funeral Mass at 10:00am in St. Patrick’s Cathedral concelebrated by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. and Rev. Norbert Eyule. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Prayers will be offered on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated if made to St. Joseph Care Group or The TBRHSF Exceptional Cancer Care Campaign.

Enrichetta Di Felice will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
