It is with great sadness the family of Ernest Nistico, wish to announce his passing on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at Lakehead Manor at the age of 89.
Ernie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. He was a talented boxer in his youth, he loved to play golf and go camping. He loved to dance and sing, he had a beautiful voice. He was also a member of the DaVinci Centre and the Knights of Columbus. Ernie was a good Christian.
Ernie is survived by his wife Lois, children Debra Asselstine (Don), James Gamble, Michelle Mayotte (John). Brothers Howard and Norman. Sisters Rita Traer and Maria Olynik. Grandchildren Aaron, Evan, Sean, Lacey and Taylor. Great-grandchildren Emma, Ethan and Liam and great-great-grandchild Nyuh. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Amelia Nistico, son Charles and brothers Sam, John, Frank and Louis.
Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. If friends desire, memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
