Errol Robinson

Errol Charles Robinson, age 79 years, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hogarth Riverview Manor, formerly of 1208 - 2280 Sleeping Giant Parkway, Thunder Bay.

Errol was born on February 25, 1942 to Rae and Charles Sr. in Port Arthur. As a baby his family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where they lived until his father retired. The family then moved to Bending Lake to operate a hunting and fishing lodge. There, Errol spent his teenage years enjoying the outdoor life as a guide and helping with the day to day operations of running the family business. At that time, he also acquired his pilot’s licence as aviation was in the family’s DNA.

Throughout his life Errol worked in many different sectors including running Ignace Airways and Ogoki Lodge. He also ran his own business in Thunder Bay called, “Flavours Restaurant”, worked in retail and in the automotive industry. In spite of working full time, he still pursued his passion for music and was a professional entertainer. Painting was also one of his many talents and enjoyed painting nature scenes. He loved animals, especially his pet dogs. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, and working with his hands. He was a jack of all trades. But most of all he loved entertaining his family and friends, hosting dinner parties and barbecuing, which gave him much pleasure showing off his culinary skills. He was a true Renaissance Man.

Errol is survived by his loving wife, Rose, his best friend of 43 years; his sisters Susan (Timo) of Kitchener, ON, and Lois (Randy) of Smithers, BC, two brothers Larry of Edmonton and Phillip (Dianne) of Thunder Bay, along with many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his brother-in-law Gino Marozzo (Geraldine) of Abbotsford, BC. He was predeceased by his parents Rae and Charles Robinson, in-laws Giulio and Emilia Marozzo and his sister-in-law Pat Robinson.

In keeping with Errol’s wishes there will be no funeral held.
