Eva Adoline Santuci

Mrs. Eva Adoline Santuci age 78 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Saturday, July 4, 2015. 

Eva was born in Radville, Saskatchewan.  Her family then moved to Regina where she received her early education.  Eva moved with her family to Fort William in the early 1950’s.  In 1958 she graduated from the St. Joseph’s School of Nursing.  Along with her family she then moved to Saskatoon, where she nursed at the University Hospital. 

Eva continued her nursing education at the University of Western Ontario where she received her Certificate of Nursing Education.  Upon her return to Fort William she taught at the McKellar Hospital School of Nursing.  She ended her nursing career as an immunization nurse at Thunder Bay District Health Unit.  Eva was a lifetime member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, and was an active member of the Ontario Nursing Association. 

She was a member of the Galaxy Gals bowling League in her early years and she also enjoyed gardening.

She married Paul Santuci in October of 1963. 

Together they enjoyed traveling, especially to the Southern States, and British Columbia.  Eva is survived by her husband Paul Santuci, sister, Thelma Heinrich;   nieces and nephews in Calgary, AB, and her sisters-in-law Eleanor, Kelowna B.C., and Florence.  She was predeceased by her father Charles Heinrich, and mother Helen nee Bauch, brother Carl (Clara) Heinrich, and in-laws Joseph and Mary Santucci. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for Eva will be held on Thursday, July  9, 2015 at 11:00am in the Blake Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Keith Blom officiating.  If friends desire, memorials to the TBRHS Foundation Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.

Eva Santuci will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
