It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fernand (Fern) Joseph St. Denis. Fernand passed away peacefully on November 13, 2021 at St.
Joseph¹s Hospital.

Fernand was born on April 29, 1970 in Hornpayne, ON to Andre Sr. & Margarate St. Denis. He was one of four children. Fern was a loving father, Papa, husband and son. He loved spending time outdoors with his boys (Justin, Jordan and Paul) and his grandchildren (Brooklyn and Daneil). He loved going hunting and fishing with his buddies. He was a Professional Truck Driver for 25+ year. Fern always had a strong work ethic and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be missed by all who knew him in the trucking industry. He grew up in Thunder Bay¹s East End where he attended St. Peter¹s School and St. Peter¹s Church where he was an Altar Boy etc. with sister Cheryl, brother Andre (April) and sister Penny (Rui). When he was 20 years old, Fern met the love of his life Theresa and they had been married for 30+ years. Together they raised three boys; Paul (Sharli), Jordan (Valerie) and Justin (Emily). He was very proud of his boys, they grew to be fine young men. Fern loved being a Papa to Brooklyn and Daniel they were his pride and joy.

He will be missed by his large family and all his friends near and far. Fernand is survived by his wife Theresa; father Andre Sr.; brother Andre (April); sister Penny (Rui); sons Paul (Sharli),Jordan (Valerie), Justin (Emily); grandchildren Brooklyn and Daniel; niece Melissa (Walter); great nieces Mick and Alexana and nephews Kyle and Josh (Charity). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins and their families. Predeceased by his mom Margarate and sister Cheryl.

A special thank you goes out to the Doctors and Nurses at the Regional Hospital as well as the Palliative Care Team at St. Joe¹s Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Everyone will be notified by Facebook, phone or messaging. The family has set up a Go Fund Me Page under Theresa St. Denis for Fernand St. Denis in order to cover funeral and other expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
