It is with great sadness that we announce Floyd James Prieston age 78 of Thunder Bay, ON, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 29th, 2015 with family by his side in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  He was born on July 24th, 1937.

Loving Husband, Father, and Grandfather. Floyd is survived by his wife Noella of 52 years, his son Darren (Bawnie) and grandchildren Jonathon and Bailey the precious loves of his life. Floyd was his grandchildren's biggest supporter of the activities they were involved in. He is also survived by his Sister Hilda Prieston of Goderich, ON, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Elijah, mother Florence, his 9 brothers, Ken, George, Gerald, Austin, Ernest, Don, Allen, Raymond and Clarence and 4 sisters, Mary, Millie, Laura, and Mari.

Floyd loved puttering outside and in his garage, as well as dancing, skating, and fishing. Tending to his flowers and yard, he found much peace in nature, he had the gift to turn a simple rock into a wonderful treasure. He was a master electrician and a 55 year member of IBEW local 402, active member of Corpus Christi Church, Knights of Columbus Council #9295, and member of the Father Baxter Assembly #870.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5th, 2015 in Corpus Christi Church, Red River Road, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Alan Albao and concelebrated by Rev. Jerin Louis and Rev. Msgr. P. M. Stilla, V.G.  Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow the reception. 

Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the Mass.If friends so desire donations may be made in Floyd’s memory to the charity of your choice.
