Ms. Francisca Vega, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with family by her side.

Francisca was born in Chile and came to Canada at the age of fifteen. She finished high school in Thunder Bay and later moved to Toronto where she attended business school.

A business woman at heart, she was tenacious and determined to succeed. She followed her entrepreneurial dreams and started her own bookkeeping company in Thunder Bay, Vega Bookkeeping.

Francisca was kind, generous and considerate, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed her. She was fun loving with a sunny disposition and a contagious laughter. She found humour in every situation and was always willing to make fun of herself and be silly, never taking herself seriously. There was never a moment without laughter when she was around.

She was a loving and dedicated aunt to her nieces and nephews who adored her; Tessa, Jonathan, Justin, Michael, David, Miriam and Adam will sadly miss their beloved aunt.

Francisca will be lovingly remembered by her mother Flora Vega, her stepfather Rolando Quintul, her sisters Luisa, Norma, Jacqueline and Cecilia and numerous other relatives.

If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Francisca’s memory.
