Frank’s Deli has finally closed its doors after 93 years.  Dad passed away on November 7, 2017 with his beloved daughter Susan at his side.

Dad was employed as a “tin basher” for many years. He had been in partnership with his brother Ted with “Agombar Sheet Metal” for many years before branching off on his own and in later years at Nesco. Dad’s greatest joys were long walks with his dog Smokey, golfing, swimming at the Airlane (part of his daily routine up until the days before his passing), and cooking his favourite dishes.

Dad was married to Helen Kowalyk, May 21, 1949 and she predeceased him in 1989. Dad resided on Home Avenue for the last 70 years.

Frank is lovingly remembered by his children: Carol Perrier, Ted (Angie), Jim (Ophelia), Susan McDonald (Larry), Bob (Mervi) and Syd (Andrea); grandchildren Lori and Shawn, Daniel, Matthew and Adam, Robyn and Erin, Lyndon, Justin and Andrew, Marcus and Sanna; great grandchildren are Chloe, Fiona, Finn, Oscar, and Callie.

Dad leaves behind the love of his life, Hazel Cooper, and also his special friends Fred Whybourne and Don Perrier.

A celebration of Dad’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Joyce Yanishewski.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation or the Salvation Army would be greatly appreciated.
