It is with great sadness, the family announces the passing of Fred on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at his residence in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Fred was born in Dryden, Ontario and later moved to Thunder Bay. Growing up as a child in Dryden, Fred enjoyed being at the camp on Ghost Lake, swimming, hunting, fishing and riding his Kitty Cat snow mobile. Fred enjoyed playing pool, gardening and renovating around the home.

Fred is survived by his Common-law wife, Wendy Lee McNally; son Leighton-Kaine (Crystal) and granddaughter Aspen; his father Fred; sisters Katherine Skomoroh (Marlo), Heather Skomoroh and brothers Gary (Sharon) and Doug (Colleen) as well as his stepchildren Ashley Metail, Jeff McNally and Bella, his English Bull dog. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his childhood friend, Cheryl Madgwick, who was like a sister to him.

He was predeceased by his mother, Annie Skomoroh.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Dyment Cemetery, Dyment on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2:30 PM. A gathering to celebrate Fred's Life, will follow in the home of his Father, Fred Skomoroh Sr., in Dryden. If friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Fred to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or the Thunder Bay District Humane Society and are greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
