Mrs. Euphrosine Sourtzis passed away peacefully in her sleep at Hogarth Riverview Manor on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the age of 86.
Born in Greece, Froso immigrated to Canada in 1957 and married her husband Andrew. With her husband, they managed a number of small restaurants throughout the Thunder Bay region.
During her entire life, she was devoted to the Greek Orthodox Church of Thunder Bay. She regularly attended church and followed all the rituals and sacraments.
Her other interests were cooking and baking, gardening and shopping. On many occasions her home was filled with relatives and friends whom she cooked for.
Froso is survived by her son Spuro (Karen) Sourtzis, daughter Angela (William) Palo, grandsons Andrew (Jenna) and Matthew and two great grandchildren Rosaleigh and Poppy Louise.
She was predeceased by her husband Andrew, brother George, father Peter and mother Ageliki.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Feldstein and the staff at Unit 1 Daffodil at Hogarth Riverview Manor.
Funeral Services for Froso will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 615 Beverly Street, officiated by Reverend Father Konstantinos Tsiolas at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery.
If friends so desire, donations in Froso’s memory may be offered to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
