Mr. George Romick Sr., loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully in TBRHSC, on Monday June 8th, 2015.
George was a long-time employee of Canadian Pacific Railway. George was an avid woodworker but his proudest achievement was his involvement in the lives of his family members. He was a fixture at baseball and hockey games throughout the careers of each of his children and grandchildren.
George will be lovingly remembered by his family, he is survived by his children: George Jr. (Brenda); Ron (Ziggy); Cheryl; Robert (Sharon); and Ryan (Margaret); grandchildren: John (Stephanie); Vanessa; Robb; Kayla; Adam; Heather; Matthew; Nicholas; Joshua and Owen; sisters Jeannette (Don) and Sylvia as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
George was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Helen, and his granddaughter, Georgia. He was also predeceased by his parents and six siblings.
Funeral Services for George will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday June 15th, 2015 in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 615 Connolly Street. Family and friends may gather directly at the Church one hour prior. If friends so desire, donations may be can be made in George’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
