Jerry passed away, at the age of 80 years, in Pinewood Court, with dementia.

Always a hard worker. He started delivering newspapers as a teenager, then worked as a printer at the Times Journal Newspaper, then with Albert Massaro, Abitibi and Stevedoring. Then he worked for the Canadian Grain Commission as a weighman for over 30 years before retiring.

Jerry spent endless hours at camp, enjoying every minute he spent clearing the trees out and building his camp and sauna on his favourite Lake Superior. His passion was boating, fishing and rock collecting.

He loved when his grandchildren came out to camp. He played cards, took them fishing, nailed a dart board to a tree, played badminton and taught them how to use a bow and arrow.

Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife Sharon of 56 years; his three daughters and son-in-law Kristy and Doug Hintz, Kathy and Nicole and his two granddaughters Hope and Beth Hintz and many nieces and nephews. His siblings Julia Sore, Mary Ann Cambly, Emily Anderson, Bernie Staszkiel (Susan), Joanne Greshuk (Rod), his brother and sister-in-law Gary Hogan and Ricky.

He was predeceased by his parents Anne and Joe, sister Olga Klimczak, brother Rick Staszkiel and brothers-in-law Les Sore, Gus Cambly and Dale Anderson.

Thank you to the Pinewood Team for all you did to care for Jerry.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A celebration of his life will follow at a later date.
