It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gerard LeBlanc on November 6, 2017.  He died peacefully at home.

Gerard is survived by his loving wife Irene Plante LeBlanc; children Leo Paradis, Ginette Tetreault, Luc Paradis, Gerald LeBlanc, Linda Berman; his many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and his sisters, Eva LeBlanc and Irene LeBlanc.

From the age of 15 until retirement he worked in the Forestry Industry.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  While retired, he worked for the Chronicle Journal as a delivery driver.  After retirement, he enjoyed playing his online games.

The family would like to acknowledge Ginette Tetreault, who had the time and patience to be his caregiver throughout the remainder of his life.  Additionally, we would like to thank his granddaughters Dawn Tetreault and Julia Bibeau in assisting with his medical care.  A great big thank you to you all.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017 when family and friends will gather in Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Red River Road, for the Funeral Mass to be celebrated by Rev. Francisco Blazek. A gathering will follow in the lower level of the church.  As expressions of sympathy, donations in Gerard’s memory may be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation – Northern Cancer Research.
