It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, Nonno and Bisnonno. Gino was born in Chions, Pordenon on October 23rd 1929. He immigrated to Canada in 1956. Gino met the love of his life Chiarina in 1959. They were married on January 9th 1960. They celebrated 59 years of marriage together. Shortly there after, their pride and joy Giorgio, was born. Gino had a love and passion of airplanes and spent many years a member of the Lakehead Aeromodellers Club building the most beautiful remote-control airplanes that were envied by many. He was also a member of St. Dominic’s Senior Club and Da Vinci Centre. Gino loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild Kingston.

He is survived by his wife Chiarina (nee. Zavagnin), his son Giorgio (Nancy), grandchildren Chayla (Lucas) Matthias, Tatyana (Sam) and great grandchild Kingston. He is also survived by his brothers Bruno (Filiceta) and Agusto (Pia) in Italy. Also survived by many brother-in-law’s, sister-in-law’s, nieces and nephews in Thunder Bay and in Italy. Predeceased by his parents Rosa and Federico and brother Adriano. Funeral Mass for Gino will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 11:00 am in the St. Dominic's Church, celebrated by Rev. Michael Mahoney.  Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Care and Thunder Bay Regional Cancer Care.

Gino Gardiman will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
