It’s with great sadness that the family of Gisela Tester (Kiessling) announce her passing. Gisela passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2017.

She was born on September 18, 1938 in Sanitz, Germany. Gisela and her family traveled to Canada in 1953. As a young adult, Gisela worked as a nursing assistant, doing what she enjoyed most taking care of others.

Once her children were born, her priority was taking care of her children and later she took care of the children in the neighborhood. Gisela loved her family dearly and will be sadly missed by her three children; Heidi Tester, Wendy Woodgate (Joe) and Vincent Tester (Wening). She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jacob and Jillian Woodgate and Ruby, Rose and Rodel Tester. She is also survived by her sister Heidi, her brother Peter and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of Gisela’s life on Saturday, May 6th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
