With deep sorrow, the family of Gladys Loraine Lindberg Martin, announce her peaceful passing at Pinewood Court home in the presence of her loving children at the age of 84.

Gladys was born in Ericsdale, Manitoba to Fritz and Gerina Lindbergh. She was a longtime resident of Thunder Bay and wife of 59 years to Dino Martin. Together they raised three children Sharlene, Terri and Dean.

Gladys was a true lady with a great zest for life and she had a vibrant personality. She loved to spend time with her family and always enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. She enjoyed fashion and traveling, having memorable trips to Rome, Las Vegas and New York. Gladys, a long standing member of St. Agnes parish, was forward thinking and found great enjoyment in her professional career. She was a regional boss at Bell Telephone in Fort William for many years prior to having her family and later went on to work in administration at Lakehead University and finally with Confederation College until her retirement.

Gladys is survived by her daughter Sharlene (John) Baker, grandchildren Danene, Caitlyn, Lyndon, Garrett, daughter Terri (Mike) Jerry, grandchildren Max and Mardi and son Dean (Linda) Martin, grandchildren Kristin and Brendan, brothers Ernest and Raymond and numerous relatives of the Lindbergh and Martin families. She is pre deceased by her parents, husband Dino, brother Rune Lindberg and sister in law Eleanor Martin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 27, 2017, family and friends will gather for the funeral mass at 1:30pm at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. James Panikulam. Internment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place on Tuesday September 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Blake Funeral Chapel. If so desired, memorials to the Our Kids Count would be appreciated.
