Dr. Gordon Bowles passed away suddenly on July 8, 2013 in Thunder Bay. He had recently returned from his home in Guelph to enjoy his beloved summer cottage at Sunnyside Beach. <br />
<br />
Born and raised in Fort William, Gordon graduated from the University of Toronto in 1955 and practiced dentistry in Thunder Bay until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of the Thunder Bay Dental Association, the International College of Dentistry and the Confederation College Dental Hygiene teaching staff. He devoted his life to his family, patients and profession. He loved singing and was a member of the Fort William Male Choir and recently the Village Arboretum choir in Guelph. He was previously involved with the Boy Scouts of Canada, ski patrol, lifeguarding and Gyros Club.<br />

Gordon will be lovingly remembered by family, friends and colleagues. He is survived by his devoted wife Iris, daughter Jane (Peter) and son Donald (Pauline), mother-in-law Anne Skorenky and grandchildren Jessica and Adam. He is now reunited with daughter "Baby Mary" and other family.<br />

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12th at 10:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Lloyd Ivany presiding.
