It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Grace Bureyko, on January 29th, 2016, in her 95th year.
Grace was born on March 30th, 1921, in Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, the 8th of 13 children.
She moved to Fort William in 1949 with her husband Andrew, where they raised their four children. For much of her life Grace worked as a cook, but her main interests were always her family and her home.
She is survived by her four children: Larry (Connie), their children, Erin (Paxton), Robbie (Sherri), and Ryan (Justin); Lorna (Robin), their daughter Carli (Owen); Brian (Susan), and their children Taylor and Britton (Chris); and Cheri (Rob) and their children Alex (Tyler) and James.
Grace is also survived by her four great-grandchildren Rowan, Paisley, Rhys, and Brendan. She has one surviving brother, Stan.
Grace was predeceased by her husband Andrew (1997) and numerous relatives and friends.
A service will be held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday February 3rd, at First Wesley United Church.
The family would like to express their gratitude to those who cared for and showed compassion towards our mother over the past few years.
