Mr. Gregory Michael “Greg” O'Neill age 54 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

Greg was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario. He grew up on the shores of beautiful Lake of the Woods, which has always held a piece of his heart. He attended the University of Manitoba and then Lakehead University where he received his teaching degree.

He taught in Kenora for several years and then moved to Thunder Bay where he worked for the Catholic School Board at several schools, most recently Pope John Paul II.

Greg loved to read, and very much enjoyed the outdoors especially if  it was golfing, biking or fishing.

His dog Zoe, his constant companion,  brought great joy to his life and he regularly shared her comical antics with family. Greg was extremely proud of, and is survived by his sons Ben, Liam and Jake. Also surviving are his parents Walter and Lois, siblings Patti (Gary) Forsyth and Garth (Brenda) O’Neill. Greg held a fondness for all of his surviving nieces and nephew; Rebecca, Taylor and Abby Forsyth, Kate, Emma and Beth O’Neill.  Many other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00am, at St. Agnes Church celebrated by Rev. James Panikulam.  Services will be complete in the church.   If friends desire, memorials to The Arthritis Society would be appreciated.

Gregory O'Neill will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
