Guy, age 57 years, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 1, 2010 at home.
He was born in Hungary and immigrated to Canada at age 6. He travelled and worked on various jobs throughout Canada as a truck driver, Air Traffic Controller, Flight Service Specialist, Boeing and Bristol Aerospace and as a farm hand. His main interest was computers.
Guy is survived by his wife Lori; son Bryan (Carmen); daughter Stephanie; step-daughters: Cheryl and Laura Wong; step-grandchildren: Mathew, Vicky, Sarah Brunton; and his faithful companion "Rusty." He is also survived by step-mother Carolyn; sisters: Elizabeth, Muriel, Doris, Heather, Darlene, and Angie. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by both his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 8th, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Rev. Lloyd Ivany. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Guy`s memory to the Navy League of Canada, Thunder Bay Branch, Salvation Army, Thunder Bay, or to the President`s Choice Children`s Charity.
