Hanah May Jewett

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Hanah May Jewett at St Joseph’s Hospital, with her family by her side on October 21, 2016. Hanah was born on May 2, 1937 in Blake Township. Hanah was a beloved and devoted wife and cherished mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. 

Hanah married Lloyd Jewett on October 4, 1958 and they had 46 years together until Lloyd’s passing in 2004. Together they raised seven children. Hanah most enjoyed spending time with her family and doing various hobbies and crafts. 

Hanah will be lovingly remembered by children: Loraine Jewett (Vic), Loretta DiFelice (Tony), Jim Jewett (Kim), Joyce Szezpanski (Shaun), Dwayne Jewett, Dinah Jewett (Don), and Rhonda Harrison, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Hanah was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Jewett, her parents Alexander and Geraldine Randle, her brothers Richard Randle, Cecil Randle and Leslie Randle, and her sister Grace Jewett, as well as her grandson Shane Fortin. 

According to Hanah’s wishes cremation has taken place. The funeral service for Hanah will be at Jenkens Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m.with Pastor Otke officiating and a gathering afterwards. 

Mother, you left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide although we cannot see you, you’re always at our side.
