Harold (Hal) was born in Springhill, Nova Scotia and moved with his family to Thunder Bay as an infant. He attended prospect school where he meet Rosie Valliere (ove Jacobsen) and made a friendship that has lasted (50 years), he also attended Forest Park and Black Bay schools and continued into high school (Hammarskjold). it was then he joined RCSCC Vindictive#42 sea cadets and found fun. He won an award for best bandsmen playing the tuba.

Hal went on to trades school, sheet metal mechanic, and discovered he enjoyed electronics and found an interest in amateur radio and received his call sign (va3 one). Harold had a fond interest in biology. He enjoyed learning something new everyday, which gave him an understanding of how the human body was created.

Harold enjoyed cycling,fishing,sailing, he loved life, Harold will remembered for his passion for animals and nature. Harold loved life.

Harold is survived by his wife (Ruby) of 30 years and his buddy Max, predeceased by his parents (Viola and Harold sr), survived by sisters Peggy(Chris) Tergie, Debra (Patrick), brother Gary (Rebecca), nieces and nephews Kendrick, Spencer Adams, Jasmin Clair (Marcus), Kendra Tergie, great niece miss Charotte and nephew Carmine.

in lieu of flowers a donation to an animal shelter (rescue center) of your choice in his name would be appreciated. always choose a rescue animal their lives are worth more than you know.
