Harriet Kucher

Our family is heartbroken at the loss of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother on February 15, 2018.

Harriet was born in Sointula B.C on August 29, 1926. She married Peter Kucher in July of 1945. Harriet loved to fish and she was always the first one on the dock at camp on May long weekend.

She was an avid knitter who loved creating wonderful keepsakes for all to enjoy. She enjoyed her daily walks with her friends from Paterson court. Harriet loved spending time with her family and cherished them all. She was a member of Sapphire Rebekah Lodge, Slovak Legion 60 Plus and the Slovak Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter and her son in-law Eugene Greening. She will be sadly missed by her children Bunny Greening, Bob (Pat) Kucher, Barry (Janet) Kucher and Linda (Greg) Forbes, her beloved grandchildren Sherri Fitzgerald, Laura Davis and Michelle Hatcher, Rob and Karen Kucher, Kristy Williamson and Kim Pankratz, Courtney and Mitchell Forbes.

She will also be deeply missed by her great grandchildren Heidi, Katie, Christie, Alyssa, Brody, Reigan, Callum, Logan, Cameron and Jack.

A special thank you to the nurses of 3C for their wonderful care for our mom during her final days.   Cremation has taken place and a private family remembrance has been held. Donations can be made to Norwest Health Center or charity of choice in memory of Harriet.  Her memory will live on in all of us forever.
