Mr. Harry Reginald Sokoloski (Soko), age 76 years, passed away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospice, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.
Reg was born in Fort William on June 22, 1939 to Harry Sr. And Eileen Sokoloski. His first love was stock car racing at the Exhibition Grounds, better known as the CLE Grounds. He later got married and had four children. Reg worked at many jobs throughout his life. He spent time at CP and was a truck driver, eventually retiring at the age of 55 from Thunder Bay Correctional Centre, where he was a Correctional Officer.
Reg is survived by his children Murray, Pat, Mike and Eileen; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Shirley.
The family would like to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph's Hospice for all of the care they provided to Dad throughout his illness.
Following Dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Reg to St. Joseph's Care Group would be greatly appreciated.
