With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a man who was devoted to his family. Our go to guy when we needed to talk.

Born in Lac-Au-Saumon, Quebec, and moved to Ontario for work early 1960. Moved his family and never left. Worked for Domtar Woodlands out of Red Rock, Ont. Had many jobs working in the bush but enjoyed machines and later got his Diesel Mechanic Certificate and became known as Diesel Doctor at work. Also owner operator of H. Dufour Trucking Inc. Retiring when woodlands closed down. He was a faithful member of the Nipigon snowmobile club. Working and maintaining the groomer.

Survived by his loving wife of 65 years Marielle Chouinard Dufour. Children, Doris (Deceased Rocky Gregnol) of Nipigon, Johnny (Bonnie) of Shuniah and Nelson (Kathy) of Hurkett. Grandchildren, Ryan, Katrina, Robert (Larissa), Jacob, Chelsey (Mike), Tyler (Haley), Kole. Great-grandchildren, Kingston, Darrel, Cooper, Hannah, Hunter, Colton. Has seven siblings and many relatives all living in Quebec. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alberte Dufour of Quebec.

Special mention to his coffee buddies Michel, Vern and Uncle Jean. He so enjoyed his Coffee time at Tim Hortons.

Most appreciated was the care given to Dad/Pere at TBRHSC and Nipigon Memorial Hospital. Also for the Nipigon Memorial Hospital in having such a beautiful room to spend time with family during his peaceful passing.

Interment will be at later date. If so desired, donations to the Cancer Society.
