 Mrs. Helen (Perog) Drindak (87) passed away peacefully at Hogarth Riverview Manor July 8th, 2018 with family by her side.

She was born in Port Arthur August 6, 1930 and graduated from grade 12 at Port Arthur Collegiate Institiute. Predeceased by husband John Drindak, sister Amelia Dolcetti, brother Theadore Perog and parents.

She is survived by son Dave (Sandy) and grandchildren John and Alexa from Thunder Bay as well as daughter Darlene (Jim) Sekora and grandchildren Jessie and Kristen from Red Deer, Alberta and many nieces and nephews.

Helen enjoyed socializing with people and worked to set up card displays for Carlton and Rust Craft in various stores in Thunder Bay and surrounding area until she was in her 80's. Before that she worked in the office of Central Plumbing with her husband John and other places such as Laura Secord, Ontario Hydro, Husky Oil, and Culliton and Black.

Helen chose to celebrate every occasion and make it special. She loved making cakes, planning parties and entertaining. She was an amazing cook and her Christmas Eve gatherings were legendary. She was a wonderful mother had a generous, giving and loving spirit which she used to volunteer at many places including St. Casmir's church, Grandview Lodge and McKellar Hospital.

Her door was always open to talk; and she will be missed by her children, many family and friends. We would like to thank the staff at Hogarth's 5 South. Donations to the St. Joseph's Foundation in memory of Helen would be greatly appreciated. There will be a private internment at Mountain View Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow on Friday, July 13th, 2018 at Tony & Adams from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.
