Helvi Maria Oikonen

Mrs. Helvi Maria Oikonen (nee Nikunen) age 86 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away at the TBRHSC on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. 
Helvi is lovingly remembered by her husband Leslie Oikonen, step son David (Ursula) Oikonen, step daughter-in-law Sherry Oikonen, step grandchildren: Kirsti (Doug), Kristian (Janis), Kevin, Kyle and Lucas, great grandchildren Lincoln and Duncan.

She was predeceased by her father Frank Nikunen, mother Anna Nikunen, brother Leo Nikunen and step son Tim Oikonen.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Pastor Jamie Bosma presiding. Interment will be held at a later date in the family plot at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
