Psalm 23 vs 6 “ And I will dwell in the house of the lord forever”

Miss Hessie Rinsma, age 85, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Ridge on Sunday April 8, 2018. Hessie was born on February 25,1933 in Franeker, Holland. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. As a young woman she helped out for many years on the family dairy farm and taking care of her younger siblings. After the farm was sold Hessie moved to the new family home in Rosslyn Village taking care of her aging parents as well as odd jobs cleaning and babysitting. When her parents passed away Hessie was dedicated to the care of her brother and their home. Hessie’s love for the Lord was evident in all her walks of life but especially in her love of flowers as seen in all her flower beds, planters and in her home. Hessie was a lifelong member of First Christian Reformed Church.

She is survived by her brothers Henry, Bernie and Klaas (Evelyn), her sister Gerdie (Jim) Postma, sister-in-law Donna Rinsma, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends Audrey and Chris Grootenboer.

Predeceased by her parents Anna and William, stepmother Sarah, brothers Joe, Jack and John and her sister-in-law Henny Rinsma.

Visitation will be Thursday April 12th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm in First Christian Reformed Church. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Church on Friday April 13 at 11:15 am and proceed to the interment that will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 11:30. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in First Christian Reformed Church officiated by Pastor Joe Hamilton.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lifewater Canada or the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.

 

Hessie Rinsma will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
