Peacefully with his wife by his side at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on August 11, 2017 at the age of 72. Bill, beloved husband of Patricia (Pat) for 47 years. Loving father of Brenda (Michael), Veronica (Matthew), Bill (Melissa) and Beverley (Donny). He will be dearly missed by six grandchildren Adam and Elizabeth (Brenda), Donovan (Veronica), Amber (Bill), Tyler and Conner (Beverley). Dearly missed by sister Cynthia (Paul) and sister-in-law Karen, along with three nieces and one nephew. Predeceased by his parents James and Anne, brothers Jim, Ben and sister Shirley.

Bill was born on January 26, 1945 in Welland, ON. He was a very private man, with a passion for his work, family and sport fishing. He owned and operated Ontario Sewage Equipment and Burloak Mechanical in the Oakville and Burlington area from 1973. While traveling for different projects for his business, he fell in love with Northwestern Ontario, where he relocated to Thunder Bay in 1997, operating Pumps & Systems until his retirement in 2014.

As per Bill’s wishes, a cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 between 3:00pm and 5:00pm at the Valhalla Inn Fireside Room in Thunder Bay. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the TBRHSC Cardio Vascular Surgery Fund or a charity of your choice.
