Hugh McFarlane Fraser, age 90 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Hogarth Riverview Manor with his family by his side.

Hughie had a variety of employment including city bus driver, owner/operator of a service station, taught driving, aeroplane mechanic at Superior Airways and owner/operator of Circle Inn. Hugh was an Honourary Life Member of Knights of Columbus and a member of Corpus Christi Church. He enjoyed winter travels to Arizona, summer fishing and golfing, and he had a great interest in small aircraft – both mechanical and flying.

Hugh will be greatly missed by his wife Joan of 54 years, his daughters Diane (Randy) Fox, Barbara (Frank) Agostino, sons James (Connie) and Joseph, as well as 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Doris and James Fraser, his sister Jean Watts and her husband Bernard, three nephews James, Donald and Bernard Watts, his in-laws Jessie and Gregor Fraser, son-in-law Huck (Heerke) Heerima, and brother-in-law Lorne Hay.

Visitation for Hugh will take place on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers at 7:00 p.m. at Harbourview Funeral Centre. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Corpus Christi Church, 664 Red River Road, celebrated by Rev. Victor De Gagne. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hogarth Riverview Manor-Behaviour Unit or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
