Mrs. Ileen Stephens (nee Sutherland), age 89 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in Pinewood Court.
Ileen was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on October 21, 1925, the eldest of five siblings. She spent her working career at Canada Car and retired in 1985. During their retirement, Ileen and Jack travelled to England, Barbados, Hawaii and RV'ed throughout the USA. They also enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Cloud Bay.
She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Jack; brothers Blake (Dianne) Sutherland and Morris Sutherland and their families. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Predeceased by her parents Ben and Elsie Sutherland, her son, Robert and sisters Eleanore and Lillian.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Ileen Stephens will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 11:00am in St. Thomas Anglican Church with the Rev. Doug McClure officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
