We are saddened to announce the passing of Irene Lampi on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at TBRHSC at the age of 91.

Irene was born in Port Arthur on March 24, 1930 to Margaret and Fred Easton. Irene worked for many years at the Port Arthur General Hospital. Irene married the love of her life Wayne Lampi and together they raised 3 children. Irene was known for her sense of humour, quick wit and homemade soups. She had an impeccable memory and a wide range of knowledge which made her a fierce competitor at Scrabble and Jeopardy.   Above all, she was a loving caring woman who welcomed everyone into her home.

We have so many wonderful memories to cherish.Irene will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by son Layne (Gini) and daughter Lisa, grandchildren: Megan(Andy), Rylee (Nate), Kristen (Nate), Ryan and Steven; and great-grandchildren Gigi, Dawson and Greyson.  Nieces and nephews also survive.  She was predeceased by husband Wayne, son Larry and sisters and brother Violet, Ada, Hazel, Olive, Helen and Fred.

Cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service.  In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Arrangements are in care of the Sargent & Son Funeral Directors, 21 N. Warm thanks to Barb & Alfie King for treating her like she was your mother, to all her Care Workers -you each had a special place in her heart and to cousin Karen Wintermute for being there.
