Ivy Isherwood, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away on September 13, 2022, two months shy of her 96th birthday.
Ivy was born in OIdham, England in 1926 and emigrated to Canada with husband Gerry in 1956.
She was a well-respected in leader in the community, both as a nurse and District Director of the Victorian Order of Nurses and through her work with the Council on Positive Aging. Ivy was an incredible mother and grandmother. She is survived by children: Barbara and David (Pamela), and grandchildren; Robyn (Ryan) Rossit, Alyson and Alex. She was predeceased by husband Gerald (Gerry).
The family would like to thank Hogarth Riverview Manor (7N) for their exceptional care during Ivy’s last years.
Those who knew Ivy would not be surprised to learn she did not want a service or celebration, and likewise, would have asked that no gifts or donations be sent in her memory.
