Mrs. Jacqueline 'Jackie' Ann Crompton age 70 years, a resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully with family by her side at the T.B.R.H.S.C. on Friday, October 6, 2017.

Daughter of Jack and Dorothy. She grew up in Welland where she met Greg her devoted husband of 50 years. Started their family in Welland and later moving to Thunder Bay (Spruce Court) where soon new neighbours became family. She worked at Zellers (Northwood), and later filled her passion for serving people at numerous CIBC's in the Thunder Bay area. She began a home-based business of JC Ceramics and held classes at the family home on Oliver Road.

Her greatest joys were her boys and her grandchildren. Spending time in the early years with the camping gang at various lakes sharing many wonderful memories. Everyone's mom makes the best spaghetti sauce and Nana's was no exception, the house had an amazing aroma of her homemade sauce. Jackie's house and garden brought her great joy as she displayed her green thumb and many collections. The family house would always be decorated for each special holiday and season. She and Greg found pleasure as snow-birds taking shelter from northern winters in Fort Myers where they made a whole new group of friends.

Jackie was always willing to help her family and friends with obstacles that they were faced with, putting her own needs aside to unselfishly be there to all who needed her energy and courage. She was determined to fight for anyone and was the most courageous and strongest person we knew. She will always be remembered for her sparkly eyes and radiant smile.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years Greg, children: Terry & Janice (Sarah & Ashley), Shawn & Shanlee McEwan, J.T. & Pamela (Scotlund, Kilten & Samuel), special nephew Andrew & Cody (Ella & Cole), Vegas family uncle Don Harpwood and family, stepmother Ruby Harpwood, sisters Cathy Stocker and Cathy Crichton, brother Rod Crichton and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Tammy Lynn, father Jack Harpwood, mother Dorothy Stafford, stepfather Bud Stafford, brother Gerald Harpwood, sister in Law Gaye Harpwood.

A special thanks to the TBRHSC Palliative Care Team and the Staff of 3A and 1A for not only keeping her comfortable but us as well.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Jackie's Life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 in the Sargent Family Reception Centre, 21 N. Court Street from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with words of tribute being offered at 3:00 pm. Should friends desire and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
