The family of James Edward Kowalski, 1942-2021, sadly announce his passing on Jan 2, 2021 surrounded by his family. He will be eternally loved and remembered by his wife Barbara (Martin),sons Jamie & Darren, daughter-in-law Rhonda, and their children Megan (Arynn), Julie (Riley) and Christopher (Hailey); Jim's sisters JoAnne (James) Richards and Brenda (Hersch) Rosenberg, sisters-in-law Denise Kowalski Gemmell, Marion Giesler and brother-in-law Bill Martin (Carolyn). Predeceased by his parents Jean and Ed and brother Gary, brother-in-law Robert Giesler.
Jim's family were most important to him and he was so proud of them and all their accomplishments. He adored his grandchildren and was so happy to spend time with them whenever he could. He was especially happy observing Julie, Megan and Chris becoming successful anglers and Chris playing superb hockey.
Jim was proud to be a journeyman carpenter and contractor, and he built dozens of beautiful homes in the area, many for his own family.
A perfect day would be spent in God's great outdoors, preferably fishing the secret lakes with the secret lures he created or many years on the trap line with Darren. His days were spent accompanied by family members, his cousin Larry or friends.
We have so many memories of his discussions of the ones caught, the ones that got away or of fantastic hockey games that brought him much excitement watching Chris play. Our picture album had more fish pictures than baby pictures as our sons grew up.
A family gathering has been held and as per Jim's wishes there will be no funeral services.
