It is with great sadness that the family of James Scott Atkins announces that Jim passed away on January 11, 2024 in Mont Tremblant Quebec. Born in Fort William, ON on September 11, 1962, Jim was a life long Thunder Bay resident until 2022 when he moved to Quebec with partner Mickey Falcigno. Jim was a great guy who told it like it was, and had a very caring heart especially for his family close friends and his dogs. He had a great passion for helping others and was always there if you needed him. Left to mourn Jim are his step son Mike Ritchie, brother Jerry Atkins, sister Diane Tunkkari and numerous nieces and nephews. Jim will be great missed by those whose lives he touched and will finally be reunited with the love of his life Linda Ritchie.
Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Thunder Bay, ON on May 30, 2025 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s memory can be made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society.
